The Southwest Monsoon advanced into South Gujarat and parts of Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Bihar yesterday, June 24.
Conditions are favorable for further advance of the Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of the north Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, remaining parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Bihar, and some parts of Uttar Pradesh during the next 2 to 3 days. Thereafter, the monsoon may advance into some more parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Uttarakhand during the subsequent 2 to 3 days.
The seasonal trough at mean sea level is extending from Rajasthan to Gangetic West Bengal across North Madhya Pradesh, South Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
The Western Disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas between 3.1 and 7.6 km above mean sea level.
A cyclonic circulation is persisting over East Uttar Pradesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Another cyclonic circulation is lying over Northeast Bangladesh and adjoining areas at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
One more cyclonic circulation is present over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Bangladesh between 3.1 and 5.8 km above mean sea level.
